     Her married name was Eglinton. Her married name was Morgan. Matilda Martha Simmons was born on 28 April 1817 at St. George The Martyr, Middlesex, England. She was baptized on 20 January 1822 at Herstmonceaux, East Sussex, England. She was Silkwinder and dressmaker in 1830. She arrived 2 August 1836 in Hobart, Van Diemen's Land, Australia on the ship 'Amelia Thompson'. She immigrated circa 23 August 1836 to on the ship 'Amelia Thompson'; from London, England to Launceston, Van Diemen's Land, Australia
with 309 immigrants. She married Convict Mark Brooker on 18 January 1837 at Van Diemen's Land, Australia. Matilda Martha Simmons and Convict Mark Brooker were seperated circa 31 March 1848 at Hobart, Van Diemen's Land, Australia, Mark Brooker said she left her home and my protection without any just cause or provocation. Matilda Martha Simmons was Departed on 19 December 1851 on the ship 'William' from Launceston, Van Diemen's Land to Melbourne, Victoria with three of her children. The Children being Matilda 14, Lavinia and Charlotte.

She seemingly 5 months pregnant to Eglington as Louisa Eglinton was born April 1852 to Matilda and James Eglinton.

James Eglinton "freed by Servitude" was also on the Ship. She married Convict James Benjamin Eglinton in 1852. Matilda Martha Simmons lived on 27 April 1852 at Collingwood, Victoria, Australia. She married Christopher Edward Morgan on 14 February 1857 at Wesleyan Mission House, Ballarat, Victoria, Australia. Matilda Martha Simmons died on 1 June 1881 at Wills Street, Ballarat East, Victoria, Australia, at age 59 Lived at Ballarat East. She was buried on 3 June 1881 at Ballarat New Cemetary, Ballarat, Victoria, Australia, Independant A Section : 5 Row :Grave :16.
